A Culinary Extravaganza hosted at The Guest House with Iron Chef Roberto Donna

Join internationally renowned chef Roberto Donna at the Guest House at Lost River for a culinary weekend extravaganza. Roberto will be hosting a 5-course Italian wine dinner on Friday, November 6 at 6:30 pm and a 5-course Italian demo cooking class on Saturday, November 7 at noon. Cost for the wine dinner is $160 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity. Cost for the cooking class is $110 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity. Cooking class includes wine, apron and recipes.

You'll learn the techniques for making fabulous Italian regional dishes from a master chef. Roberto will teach you all about Italy's great variety of flavors and tastes while utilizing fresh ingredients available at regional farmer and Italian markets. A special discounted rate is available for guests who purchase both the cooking class and the wine dinner at $250 per person.

Born in the Piedmont region of Italy, Robert Donna arrived in Washington, DC at the age of 19 with almost a lifetime of cooking school education from his native Torino and throughout Europe. In 1984, he opened the highly acclaimed Galileo. The addition of his Laboratorio and Osteria had made Chef Donna's restaurant a destination for those seeking the finest in Italian cuisine. Wine Spectator magazine called Galileo one of the "10 Best Italian Restaurants in America," and continuously honored Chef Donna with its Grand Award of Excellence for Galileo's comprehensive wine selection. Among the many accolades bestowed upon Chef Donna, one of the most notable came in 1996 when Galileo was named of the twenty finest Italian restaurants in the world by the President of Italy. Roberto will be resurrecting Galileo in a new location, scheduled to open in late 2009.
